Ami-Along CAL and KAL: the 2016 edition is here!

2016 Ami-Along amigurumi CAL
It is happening again! The ultimate amigurumi crochet-along (or knit-along!) is back for a second summer.
Last year was the inaugural year for the Ami-Along and it is starting up again, thanks to the coordinator Justyna of Cute and Kaboodle. It is a CAL/KAL in which multiple amigurumi designers join together for one big summer CAL/KAL of ami making fun.  So far over 10 designers are participating this year, including me, and it will run from June 27 – Aug 31, 2016.
To take part you need to make amigurumi using a pattern by one of the participating designers, but there are so many, you won’t have any problems finding one you like.

Why join in? Well, for one thing, during the first week of the CAL/KAL all patterns by every designer will be 25% off (excluding my Bill the Pineapple because he is a fund raising pattern). Crazy, I know! Plus, with every amigurumi you make using a a paid-for pattern, you are entered to win a prize. There are loads of patterns to be won, as well as some physical items that will show up in your mail box. I am providing 5 hookabee patterns, as well as a project bag sewn by me! I haven’t decided on the fabric for the bag yet, but I can guarantee it will be a cute one. And if that isn’t reason enough, you get to enjoy making amigurumi with lots of people from around the world, and maybe discover some new designers.
To learn more about the Ami-Along and to join in, visit the ravelry group HERE. Hope to see you there!
