Crochet a cute little bee that fits in your hand! Little Bobby is a smaller version of my original Bobby the Bumble Bee pattern. Just as adorable but faster to make! He is approximately 5.5 inches long when using worsted weight yarn.
This bumble bee amigurumi pattern includes detailed instructions and step-by-step photos, plus you can contact me along the way to ask any questions.
It is an intermediate level pattern, but only because there are a few colour changes, otherwise it is easy. The pattern involves starting with a magic ring, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitches, increasing, decreasing, colour changes and attaching pieces.
Materials you will need:
- E US (3.5 mm) hook
- worsted weight yarn approximately: yellow 30 yds (27 m), black 45 yds (41 m), white 9 yds ( 8 m)
- yarn/tapestry needle
- removable stitch markers
- two 12 mm plastic safety eyes
- polyester fiberfill stuffing
Note: If you are making this amigurumi for someone under 3 yrs, I recommend crocheting or embroidering the eyes instead of using the plastic safety eyes.
